Choosing the right parking area can make your airport trip easier and help you manage travel costs. Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), in West Palm Beach, Florida, offers several parking options for passengers, including premium, short-term, long-term, and economy parking. Each option has different rates and access arrangements, depending on how long you plan to leave your vehicle.
This guide to PBI airport parking explains the available facilities, daily rates, payment methods, and shuttle services to help you choose a suitable parking space before your flight.
Parking Options at Palm Beach International Airport
Travelers can choose between parking near the terminal and more economical spaces for longer stays. The best option depends on your budget, trip duration, and how close you want to park to the terminal.
Premium Parking
Premium parking is a convenient choice for passengers who want quick access to the terminal. It is located near baggage claim, making it useful for short visits, drop-offs, and pickups. This option generally costs more than other parking facilities, so check the current rate before entering.
Short-Term Parking
Short-term parking is suitable for brief airport visits, passenger pickups, and trips lasting a few hours. The parking garage provides convenient terminal access and is a practical choice when walking distance matters more than the lowest price.
Long-Term Parking
If you plan to leave your vehicle at the airport for several days, long term parking PBI offers a convenient option. The long-term garage provides direct access to the terminal, helping travelers avoid arranging separate transportation from an off-site parking facility.
Economy Parking
Economy parking is a budget-friendly choice for passengers planning longer trips. The lot is located farther from the terminal, but complimentary shuttle services help passengers reach the airport building. It is worth considering when saving money is more important than parking directly beside the terminal.
PBI Airport Parking Rates
The cost of Palm Beach International Airport parking depends on the facility you select and the length of your stay. The published daily maximum rates introduced in February 2025 are listed below. Check the airport's current parking information before traveling, as rates may change.
Parking Facility | Maximum Daily Rate |
Premium Parking | $34 |
Short-Term Parking | $21 |
Long-Term Parking | $14 |
EconoSmy Parking | $8 |
These rates help travelers compare the available options before departure. For example, economy parking may be more affordable for a week-long trip, while short-term parking can be more convenient for a quick pickup or drop-off. Actual charges depend on parking duration and the applicable rate rules.
West Palm Airport Parking Payment Options
When choosing west palm airport parking, check the accepted payment methods for your selected lot. Credit cards and SunPass are accepted at several facilities, while cash availability can depend on the parking location and cashier hours.
Premium parking has different payment restrictions from the other facilities, so review the posted instructions before entering. Keeping a payment card ready can make exiting the airport parking area more convenient.
Free Cell Phone Waiting Lot
The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is a useful option for drivers picking up arriving passengers. It allows you to wait without paying for regular parking while your arriving passenger collects their luggage and prepares for pickup.
Instead of circling the terminal roadways or occupying a paid parking space, drivers can wait in the designated area until the passenger is ready. Follow airport signs and local instructions when proceeding to the passenger pickup area.
Shuttle Services and Electric Vehicle Charging
Economy parking includes complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the terminal. Passengers should allow extra time for the shuttle ride, especially during busy travel periods or when carrying several bags. The lot may also become temporarily unavailable when it reaches capacity.
Drivers using electric vehicles should check the airport's current parking information for charging availability and the locations of charging stations. Confirming these details before arrival can help you select a suitable parking facility.
Is Parking Reservation Available at PBI?
Before choosing a parking provider, check whether the facility accepts advance reservations. On-airport parking availability and reservation arrangements can change, particularly during busy travel periods.
Some off-site parking providers offer advance booking, but their prices, shuttle arrangements, and cancellation policies may differ from those of airport-operated facilities. Compare the total cost and transportation arrangements before confirming a booking.
