Diablo 4 Ith and Jah Crafting Made Clear with U4GM

Ith is crafted from three Eth runes, while Jah requires two Ber runes and one Grand Sapphire in the Horadric Cube in Diablo 4 Season 15. Enigma needs one Jah, one Ith, and a separate Ber, so crafting Jah does not finish your rune requirements. A materials checklist that includes D4 Gold should record those rune quantities individually.

Crafting Ith from Eth or Tir

Place three Eth runes in the Horadric Cube and transmute them to receive one Ith. This conversion needs no gem or equipment base. When starting with Tir, first convert three Tir into one Eth, then repeat until you have three Eth for the Ith recipe.

Starting entirely from Tir therefore takes nine Tir to make one Ith. These are separate transmutations: make the three Eth first, then use those results together. Count any Eth or Ith already in your inventory before committing more materials.

Crafting Jah without spending Enigma's final Ber

Two Ber runes and one Grand Sapphire produce one Jah. Because Enigma consumes another Ber alongside Jah and Ith, the full route requires three Ber when you have no Jah already available. Reserve that third Ber before completing the Jah conversion.

Ber itself can be crafted from two Lo runes and one Grand Topaz. Combining these recipes means that crafting both Jah and Enigma's remaining Ber entirely from Lo takes six Lo, three Grand Topazes, and one Grand Sapphire. This total does not include Ith or the chest armor base. Lo is the rune's name, and both gem types must have the specified Grand quality.

An existing Jah changes the calculation: you only need to provide the separate Ber required for Enigma. Check your inventory first so you do not convert valuable materials for a rune you already have.

Turning the runes into Enigma

The Horadric Cube becomes available through the Lord of Hatred campaign and can then be used in Temis. Unlocking that crafting station is a prerequisite for these transmutations.

For the Season 15 Enigma recipe documented for patch 3.2.2 on September 27, 2026, place one Common, white-quality Chest Armor into the Cube with Jah, Ith, and Ber, then select Transmute. Magic, Rare, and Legendary chest pieces do not meet this recipe's base requirement. An Ancestral Common Chest Armor produces Ancestral Enigma with the same rune ingredients.

This process creates the named armor item; it does not involve inserting a Ritual and Invocation rune pair into equipment sockets. If the expected recipe does not appear, inspect the chest's quality and equipment category before converting additional runes. More materials will not correct an unsuitable base.

Before reviewing d4 gear for sale, write down your missing ingredients and whether your intended base is Ancestral. Then check your inventory against that list, keeping Enigma's final Ber reserved while you prepare Jah.
