Helldivers 2 Giant Credit Stacks: Rare Ways to Earn Fast Rewards

If you have been diving in Helldivers 2, you already know the grind for Super Credits is real. Most of the time, cracking open a cargo container or turning around a crashed escape pod nets you a modest +10 Super Credits. It is a nice little bonus, but it takes a while to save up for that next premium Warbond. Every once in a while, though, the RNG gods smile upon you, and you stumble across a Giant Credit Stack. This rare drop rewards you with a massive +100 Super Credits in a single pickup.

While pulling a giant stack is completely down to luck, you do not have to just cross your fingers and hope for the best. By combining the right map loadouts, picking specific biomes, and taking advantage of unique map-reset mechanics, you can actively maximize your efficiency and farm hundreds of Super Credits per hour for free. Here is a breakdown of how the community optimizes the hunt.

The "Alt+F4" Mission Reset Exploit (Fastest Solo Method)

The absolute fastest way to secure premium currency without opening your wallet relies on how Helldivers 2 handles map generation. The moment a mission map is generated, its seed is locked. This means every single Point of Interest (POI) and the exact loot drops inside them are permanently set in stone for that specific run.

  1. Discover a Good Seed: Fire up a 40-minute mission on a low difficulty and start exploring. Open every cargo container and escape pod you find. Keep going until you locate a spot that gives you a +100 Giant Credit Stack, or a cluster of multiple +10 stacks close together.

  2. Note the Position: Take a mental note or a quick screenshot of the exact location on your map. Remember, Super Credits instantly save to your account the moment you pick them up. You do not need to extract to keep them.

  3. Force-Close the Game: Instead of returning to your ship normally or quitting the mission through the menu, force-close the game. If you are on PC, hit Alt+F4. If you are on a console, close the application from the dashboard.

  4. Repeat the Run: Boot the game back up. You will spawn right back on your Super Destroyer with the exact same planet and mission still selected. Drop back down, sprint straight to the known POI, grab the identical credit stacks, and force-close the game again. You can loop this repeatedly to rack up credits fast.

Optimizing Your Farming Loadout

If you want to clear maps quickly without burning out, your loadout needs to focus strictly on speed and terrain navigation. You are not trying to fight waves of enemies; you are trying to cover ground.

  • Armor: Throw on Light Armor with the Scout passive. This setup gives you the highest possible movement speed and stamina recovery. Even better, it automatically pins hidden POIs to your radar whenever you place a marker on the map, helping you navigate between points effortlessly.

  • Support Weapons: Pack a Laser Cannon or an Anti-Materiel Rifle (AMR). These weapons can instantly shoot open the locked metal doors of cargo containers from a distance, saving you from wasting grenades or having to look around for nearby explosive barrels to blow them open.

  • Backpack: The Jump Pack is incredibly useful for cutting down travel times across high cliffs and rough terrain. If you prefer, some solo players rely on the Warp Pack; by diving and activating the warp, you can clip directly inside the two-man "friendship bunkers" without needing a teammate to press the other button.

  • Vehicles: Call down the Fast Recon Vehicle (FRV). It allows you to tear across open plains at high speeds, and you can keep your mini-map open while driving to track down points of interest on the fly.

Best Planet Biomes and Map Settings

Not all planets are built equal when it comes to efficient looting. Avoid jungle planets, dense forests, and swamp worlds at all costs. The heavy vegetation, muddy terrain, and thick tree lines severely slow down your vehicles and hide critical visual cues from a distance.

  • Top-Tier Biomes: Stick to desert dunes, moon surfaces, or icy wastelands (like Fenrir or Grand Errant). These areas offer flat terrain, zero tree cover, and incredibly high visibility.

  • Check for Water: When selecting a trivial mission, look for a map layout that does not feature massive oceans or lakes. Water takes up valuable land space where POIs could have otherwise spawned.

  • Look up at the Sky: As you drive or run across the landscape, keep an eye on the horizon. Look for glowing golden beacons of light beaming straight into the sky. These indicators mark crashed SEAF escape pods, which have a very high chance of holding the credit stacks you are looking for.

The "No-Objective" Speed Loop

If you do not want to deal with force-closing your game and prefer a more standard gameplay loop, you can run highly efficient speed-farming sessions with a full squad.

  1. Drop the Difficulty to Trivial (Level 1) or Easy (Level 2): Higher difficulties introduce Rare and Super samples into the map's loot tables. This heavily dilutes the spawn pool, lowering your overall chances of pulling Super Credits from containers and pods. Keep it low to keep the credit chances high.

  2. Ignore the Main Objective: Completing the main objective triggers map alerts, increases enemy presence, and forces you into long extraction countdowns. Instead, have your squad split up and run in a massive circle along the outer edges of the map where most POIs spawn.

  3. Abandon Mission: Once the question marks on your compass disappear and the map has been picked completely clean, the lobby host should open the menu and select "Abandon Mission with Squad". This completely bypasses the extraction sequence, saves all the credits you picked up directly to your accounts, and puts you right back on the ship to launch the next run immediately.
