Faster life claims are a worthwhile goal. Families should not have to wait unnecessarily for a benefit they depend on. But speed cannot come at the expense of accuracy. Wrong payouts, missed fraud, and incorrect decisions can create financial, regulatory, and reputational problems that are much harder to fix later. 

The better approach is to build a claims process that moves quickly when the risk is low and slows down when a claim needs careful attention.
