it's trully interestin' how food has always been a part of our lives. it's comin' with some restrictions, both physical 'n' mental. no matter what the reason is, whether it's religion, how they see the world, or if they're followin' a certain idea of beauty, we all have our own unique way of livin'. whether you're the type to follow strict rituals 'n' principles or you're more of a modern trendsetter, food has always been 'bout so much more than just pleasure. It's also 'bout identity 'n' meanin'.
'n' how min-na could guess we would talk 'bout vegans. i think everyone already heard much 'bout 'em. but how we would talk the kinds of 'em?
raw vegans, vegetarians, pollotarians, flexitarians, religious vegans, pascatarians.. 'n' others. how many of there ya already knew 'bout? i don't really think ya could say all of 'em at all if I would ask yo directly, isn't it?
more normalised now - vegans do to their religions. ('n' that's okay. ya don't need to eat smn if ya know that ya don't need to. 'n' ppl really should get it.)
in Hinduism - ahimsa. which against harm against animals, some even - see animals as part of divine 'n' that they deserve respect.
Jainism - actually the same + they strict af 'n' may even avoid some vegetables to minimaze harm to livin' bein's.
Islam - halal diets, even if they eat meat it's need to be in special way - cut the thr0@t 'n' call the name of the Allah.
Ethentical vegans - smn who don't eat all animal product but also ones that produced by exploitin' animals. this includes leather, wool, silk, feather 'n' cosmetics that have been tested on animals. also avoid companies who support business that contribute to animal sufferin', such as horseback ridin', elephant tours 'n' other.
Eco-vegans - ethentical vegans + they minimize their negative impact on planet by recyclin', eat only locally grown food.
Raw vegans - doesn't eat any animal products or cooked food. eat only raw fruits, veggies, nuts 'n' seeds.
Lacto-vegans - standart vegans BUT eat dairy products.
Ovo-vegans - vegans BUT eat eggs, also may eat honey.
Pescaterians - vegans BUT eat fish 'n' seafood.
Beegans - vegans BUT eat honey.
but.. is it all good for health?
firstly, even in this ya need to set some limits first. if ya overeat smn - ofc ya would feel like shit. but even if ya are ya vegan ya can make it still good for ya health 'n' ya can find it in internet. for mentally it can be a little bit more complicated.
after all we all (or most) in culture we eat meat 'n' it's not that big deal to go in zoo or wear smn out of animals. it's mostly culture. idk fully but think if we could have a culture we're eat animals is problematic then we wouldn't want to eat it that much. but it's just thought 'n' after all 'n' it's all ppl choose what to eat. so let's work with reality.
firstly, mentally we all crave to do things we used to. bcs brain already know that it's safe, 'n' tryin' smn new can be a pretty difficult at first bcs of that.
biologically - meat contains amino acids, such as tyrosine 'n' tryptophan, which contribute to the production of dopamine (the hormone of pleasure) 'n' serotonin. perhaps, at the brain level, this creates a kind of “amplifier” of emotions 'n' enjoyment of food, which makes giving up meat psychologically difficult even if ya have ethical convictions.
also let's not forget 'bout ed, bcs it's article 'bout food after all.
some ppl can eat food due to stress. it may be not that hurmfull in small doses bcs it provides quick relief bcs these foods trigger the release of dopamine and serotonin, the hormones of happiness.
but if ya really on food to manage emotions - it's bad, bestie. 'n' it's also important to recognise that fast bcs ya couldn't stop overeat or not eat at all.
so yup, food isn't only a fuel for our body. it's 'bout how we feel, think. but no matter which diet ya choose - min-na got to make sure we keep our health in check (in all ways!!!)
love yall, have a great day 'n' remember that ya are loved!
(should I do acticle 'bout ed??)
